President Muhammadu Buhari has forwarded the name of 40 years old Abdulrashid Bawa as Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC to the senate for Screening and confirmation on Tuesday.
Ibrahim Magu who acted for over 5years and has been suspended for alleged corruption will be replaced by Abdulrashid Bawa while the judicial committee set up to investigate magu is yet to be concluded.
The senate president Ahmed lawan who read the letter from President Buhari to the senate in the session said the screening will be done in plenary.
Bawa is currently the Head of the Lagos desk of the Commission and a pioneer cadet of the EFCC.
He is to take over from Ahmed Umar who has been acting since Magu was suspended.
